Timeline for Property Inspections
For most residential property inspections most inspections will take place within three hours. For commercial properties it takes around 6 hours. You will receive your complete inspection report within 24 hours of the inspection.
What Home Sellers Should Know
Its important that home sellers have an idea of what they need to do for a successful inspection. We can work with both occupied and unoccupied homes and have some helpful tips:
- Leave keys in a safe location that the inspector can access.
- Make sure all pilot lights are on for fireplaces and furnaces so the inspector can check the heating and other appliances
- Clear your basement as there should be uan unobstructed path down the steps to your AC/Furnace system.
- Tidy your attic same as your basement
- Clean up key areas in your yard so the inspector can easily access your crawl space, drainage access points, or septic tank
- If the home is vacant and the utilities have been shut off, have them reconnected
